Welcome to Sussex Advocacy Partnership
The Sussex Advocacy Partnership provides a range of statutory and non-statutory advocacy services to the residents of Brighton and Hove, East Sussex and West Sussex. The Partnership consists of POhWER, Mind in Brighton and Hove, MindOut, Brighton & Hove Speak Out, Sussex Interpreting Services and Impact Advocacy.

If you find it difficult to express yourself, and you don’t have a friend or relative who can support you, an advocate can help make sure your voice is heard.

The partnership offers the following statutory Advocacy services:

The partnership also offers Community Advocacy including:

Community Mental Health Advocacy, delivered by Mind in Brighton & Hove

LGBTQ and Trans Advocacy, delivered by MindOut

Community advocacy for people with learning disabilities and advocacy for parents with learning disabilities, delivered by Brighton & Hove Speak Out

Community advocacy for people with sensory, communication, cognitive or physical impairment and advocacy for people with autism and Asperger’s syndrome, delivered by Impact Advocacy

Bi-lingual advocacy for people whose first language isn’t English, delivered by Sussex Interpreting Services

We will also provide a qualified Deaf Advocate for all the services above for service users in Brighton and Hove whose first language is BSL. You can also access information about our services in British Sign Language.
